77th session of United Nations General Assembly started on September 13, 2022. It was the first in-person format after COVID-19 outbreak and 193 member nations of United Nations participated. As usuall this session was conducted at the United Nations Headquarter in New York. Theme of this session is, “A watershed moment: transformative solutions to interlocking challenges”. In General Assembly General Debate started on 20 September and will close on 26 Sptember. Prime Minister of Pakistan addressed United Nations General Assembly on September 23, 2022. He focused on climate change effects, as well as on Kashmir issue. During his address he urged the world to come forward to help flood effected Pakistan. He presented the real picture of devastation, which needs attention.
During his speech, he explained how peace and stability is important in the region. Pakistan wants peace with all its neighbors which includes India. Kashmir always remained core issue between India and Pakistan. Kashmiris should decide their faith in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
