Pakistan Standard Time was suggested by Prof. Muhammad Anwar. Pakistan Standard Time was adopted on September 30, 1951. Before this Pakistan was following time imposed by British government on sub-continent in 1907. It is believed that PST is derived from Shakargarh. Deen Panah is the place in Shakargarh where rays of morning sun first hit in Pakistan.
