d) 8th May 2010 National Assembly of Pakistan passed the 18th amendment bill on 8th April 2010 and the Senate passed this bill on 15th April 2010. The head of state (president) passed this bill on 19th April 2010. This amendment instituted major changes in the constitution including limits on presidential powers, restoration of parliamentary spirit of 1973 constitution, defined high treason, fundamental rights and judicial appointments. Through this bill NWFP was renamed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
