Pakistani women are adopting mountaineering seriously, as most recently two Pakistani women mountaineers summit K2 on the same day. i.e. 22-07-2022. Samina Baig was became first Pakistani woman who successfully climbed K2, whereas hours latter Naila Kiyani became second to achieved this feat. It is worth mentioning here that it was Samina Baig who successfully scaled Mount Everest in 2013, which is the highest peak in the world. So slowly, but surely Pakistani women are making a way forward in this field as well.
